that's a good enough reason

i saw a shirt that read "Jesus Loves Isla Vista".

i'm assuming that it's slightly sarcastic. because that would be just sad.

although the girl who was wearing the shirt looked pretty... let's say conservative.

but who are we kidding. nobody in iv is really all that conservative.

i've met one christian person since i've been here who is straight edge enough to not engage in most of the activities that go down on a nightly basis here. and he's a born-again. so he's dispensible.

one time he tried to get me to go to church with him. i told him that i didn't think that jesus would ever forgive me for some of the shit i have done/thought. as elaine once put it, somewhat drunkenly, "he's a great guy, but he's not for me."

besides, if he does forgive us.... assuming that he's for real..... and really assuming because, afterall, i am a science major and opperate on a somehwat logical basis, which is not the basis on which the bible opperates.... what's the point in starting to believe in him now? if he'll be willing to overlook my indescressions later in life, i see absolutely no reason for me to limit them now.

i mean, stds limit them. but stds are for life. jesus is for death.
