and in the night he knew

does everyone in this world snore? i spent the majority of my night hiding my head between my pillows and with my lion-shaped ball of fluff smothering my noggin to the point of almost no return and yet i still had to get up, put cottonballs in my ears, listen to my stupid headphones, and reposition myself between said pillows before i was able to phase out stella's mom's breathing. the end result was about five hours of sleep that began around six and ended when some level of consciousness processed the tempterature of my room and knew it wasn't the ideal heat for eight in the morning, even if i was under a crapload of blankies. which means i slept through 1. my alarmS (yes, plural) and 2. stella's mother cleaning both our kitchen and our room; 3. everyone getting dressed and leaving the house and 4. two of my three classes of the day. thankfully the important one, which had a paper due today, was not until this afternoon, so i guess life can go on at its current exsistance. so, if anybody wants to know how to stop the seeping of noise when you're trying to sleep, that's the magic formula: cotton, music, three pillows.

rachel has recently remodeled rampant. i wonder if that is the change i for which i have been waiting. i'll have to readjust before i resume posting there.

last night my recently returned boss left a coworker and myself in control of the barbara ehrenreich lecture. i felt priveledged until i realized that there was no boss there to send us home during teh book signing and we had to stay until every last one of them felt satisfied with their inscription. drats. oh well. i'm two steps away from spending the rest of my life in campbell anyway. no real career path; no motivation to find one; i am generally unsatisfied with life. all i need is a degree in religious studies and i'll fit in beautifully. yay. who wants to be a roadie for life? me, oh choose me!

aquired a saltwater sandle tanline across my ankle. it's hot. relaly hot. pure sexiness. it's the five year old's version of a farmer's tan.

i'm going to take a nap. mmm. nap. and then begin the long process of studying for the sequence of midterms that will fill my time for the next few weeks.
